• Yes, we supply the life jackets at no extra costs. It is helpful if you advise what size(s) you will need.

  • Weekends tend to book up faster, so the sooner you book, the more likely you’ll get the spot you want. That being said, there are days where you can do same day booking. We do our best to accommodate.

  • No, we do not have the courses for training. However, we will show you the basics of what is required when kayaking for the first time.

  • We do not offer guided tours.

  • Depending on the river flow, it usualy can take anywhere between 2-3 hours on a kayak and 4-5 hours on a floating island.

  • We monitor the river flow daily - in the morning and in the afternoon. We keep an eye to make sure the river is flowing between 100-400 cubic meters per second as recommended by the fire department. We will postpone/reschedule if the river is flowing too fast or if the wind conditions are too extreme. Safety comes first, and we need to ensure you guys feel safe and comfortable on the river.

  • We do not charge for cancellations. We understand that life happens and things can change. The more notice you can give us, the better. If the river is flowing too fast, we may need to cancel your booking and we apologize for that.

  • We accept e-transfer to mhoutdoorxcape@gmail.com or cash at this time. You can use a credit car if you book online.

  • You only have to pay the day of your booking before you get out on the river, just in the event you need to cancel your booking.

  • Yes. We charge $12.50 for drop off and $12.50 for pick-up of the kayaks. You are more than welcome to pick up the kayaks from our place.

  • River” We will drop off at Echo Dale Boat Launch, located at 1001 Echo Dale Rd SW. Once you get to Finlay Bridge, you can contact us and we will be waiting in Stratcona Boat Launch for you.

    Creek: We will drop off at 32 Heron Crt. just west of Desert Blume in the dop. We will pick-up at Kin Coulee Park right after the bridge.

  • Unfortunately, no. We cannot transport people. You will need to have your own ride. An option is getting a cab to one of the locations - either drop off or pick-up - or finding a ride from a friend or family member.

  • At this time, we have 3 tandem kayaks (2 person kayaks) and 16 single kayaks

  • At this time, we can only deliver to Elkwater if you are renting out 10+ kayaks. but we do have to charge extra for delivery.

  • There are holders for your belongings, but we recommend putting anything valuable in a Ziploc or waterproof bag so nothing gets water damage.

  • Currently we have two 4-person floating islands.

  • We will drop off the floating island, fully inflated, ready to go, and then we will pick-up in Strathcona and deflate and clean it.

  • Yes we can, but we believe they are easy to transport and saves you on the cost on delivery. In the event you are renting a paddle board with a kayak, then we would bring it with the delivery of that kayak.
